About the Editors
Her joy in working with this cookbook was to search out esoteric ingredients, cheer on the “lab” cooks, and enjoy the great food. Writings such as Dusty’s Queen of Hearts Diner, and “Lesbian Stew,” from one of her columns in a collection called The Amazon Trail, exemplify her love of food.
The editors are three old friends who have hung out together, sharing a myriad of interests including books, travel, writing, yard sales, life in a small coastal fishing village—and eating Nel’s food. |

Lee Lynch has been a confirmed butch since her teen years. After
reading lesbian books with sad endings, she decided that her lifelong
writing would reflect the happiness that lesbians can achieve. 
Nel Ward and Sue Hardesty, partners for almost four decades, share a
large collection of cookbooks and a history of cooking classes. They
cook almost everything together in a stereotypical “butch/femme” approach
as Nel watches over Sue’s prep work with a “femme” eye.
